I couldn´t help but wonder... where are the bodies?? The conflict in Lybia has been going on for months, now reaching its end with the control of Tripoli. But during these months, I don´t remember seeing one single dead body, except for images of the inside of hospitals! Where are the defeated loyalists? Are they all being taken prisoners or are they being killed? Where are the bodies of those defeated? Also, the rebels are non-professional soldiers, students and workers turned armed fighters without great military training. So, where are the casualties??
I would like to think that there are no dead bodies, no casualties. But that´s not true. This is the first conflict i remember following on tv where there are no images of dead bodies on the sides of the roads, on the inside of stormed compounds. This leads me to assume that there is an agreement among the media deployed on the ground not to film the deceased, not to show the casualties of this conflict. Would that be true? And if so, would that be right??...
